EPILOGUE

Tynda!

The sound of timber cutting axes.

Tynda!

The blue lights flashes in the night.

That's how one of the songs went. They wrote a lot of songs about my city back in the day.The city was mentioned quite a bit on the national channel and in the national newspapers. They talked about achievements of BAM builders, about the labor enthusiasm, about the brilliant future of the BAM region.

"Tynda - is a construction project, Tynda – is firmness, Tynda - is my station," the continuation of the same song.

Indeed. One had to be very persistent to withstand living in windy railroad cars and working in a negative 45-degree weather.A negative 47?What about negative 50?Have you ever seen metal cracking because of these temperatures, kind of like in Antarctica?

A negative 40 is not the same as a negative 20.It's a different category. Those who have never felt like eye lashes stick to each other when going outside and the insole of the boot cracks, those who have never seen frozen birds falling down, will not understand my explanation.

Tynda was referred to as the capital of BAM.There even was a song with lyrics: "Tynda - the end point of Moscow."Together with the Soviet Union disappeared the brilliant future of the region, evaporated the labor enthusiasm. But Tynda lives, not without hardships, but it lives.

We live!Crisis, hardships, production slowdown, railroad inefficiencies -- everything is like in the rest of the country.

In spite of all -- we live!

I hope that everything will change and BAM will be needed.Tynda will again be growing.

I believe in your future, Tynda.

I love you, my city!

I believe: insulted but not at guilt,

Stripped of integrity and fame,

BAM will become the country's pride again

And the forever treasure of the Fatherland.
